This Privacy Policy describes how Streaks: Track · Reflect · Improve ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our mobile application available on Android and iOS.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy is designed to be simple and transparent — because we genuinely have very little to tell you.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information.
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Habit names, descriptions, emoji, and category you create
- Daily completion logs and timestamps
- Mood ratings (1–5) and optional reflection notes you write
- Notification preferences and reminder times you set
- "Why this matters" motivation notes you optionally add
This data is stored using Hive, a local on-device database. It never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- ❌ No name, email, phone number, or account information
- ❌ No location data
- ❌ No device identifiers or advertising IDs
- ❌ No usage analytics or crash reports sent to us
- ❌ No cookies or tracking technologies
- ❌ No data shared with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers
4. Notifications
If you enable daily reminders, the App uses your device's local notification system to send scheduled alerts. These notifications are generated entirely on-device and do not involve any external server or push notification service.
You can disable notifications at any time in the App settings or in your device's system settings.
5. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
Since no data is collected or transmitted by the App at all, the App is safe for users of all ages. All habit and mood data is stored solely on the user's own device and is never accessible to us.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will assist you. However, given the local-only data model, no such data would be accessible by us.
6. Data Security
Your data is stored locally on your device and is protected by your device's own security mechanisms (screen lock, device encryption, etc.). We encourage you to keep your device software up to date and use a secure screen lock.
Since we never receive your data, we cannot be responsible for unauthorized access that occurs at the device level.
7. Data Deletion
You can delete all your data at any time by:
- Deleting individual habits within the App
- Uninstalling the App from your device — this permanently removes all stored data
Since no data is stored on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on our end.
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following open-source libraries, none of which collect personal data:
- Hive — local on-device database (no network access)
- flutter_local_notifications — on-device scheduled notifications only
- Google Fonts — fonts may be loaded from Google's CDN on first use if not cached; only font file requests are made (no personal data sent)
The App does not integrate with any analytics SDK, advertising network, or social platform.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
We will notify users of any material changes through an in-app notice or App Store update notes.
